The Working Together Series Booklets

With The Working Together Series booklets, you can help parents get more meaningfully involved with their children’s education right at home. The booklets provide a wonderful addition to your other parent involvement activities! Here’s how: Children love activities, accomplishing things and keeping score. You can use these booklets to encourage students to get their parents involved in working together! Each booklet is full of activities parents and children can work on together to build responsibility, self-esteem, talking and listening, reading, motivation and learning at home. And, because each activity can be done at different times, parents can pick and choose the activities to work on with their children. The booklets also provide a built-in reward system! Each booklet’s inside cover includes a "Certificate of Achievement" suitable for framing, stating that the child and cooperating adult have worked together to complete the activities included in that particular booklet. There’s even a place for a date and signatures of the child and adult! The booklets do not mention school awarded prizes or recognition for completing one or all of the booklets. But, if you choose, you can add that spark to the program yourself. What a great way for your school/district to promote parent involvement in their children’s education at home! Available in both English and Spanish, each of the 16-paged Working Together Series Booklets is designed to supplement the popular Parenting Series Booklets on the same vital topics.
